Sally Morgan, Baroness Morgan of Huyton

== Early life ==
Morgan was educated at Belvedere School for Girls, Liverpool, and at Durham University, where she graduated in 1980 with a BA in geography. After taking a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at King's College London in 1981, she worked as a teacher from 1981–1985. She later received an MA in Education from the Institute of Education, London. In the early 1980s, she was active in student politics. As a member of the National Organisation of Labour Students, she was an active member of the British Youth Council Executive Committee.〔〔
